KJELLERSTUA – Fillevev og Lappekunst (Ragweave and Quiltart) is a single-person company based in Sandsli, Norway.

In my studio I specialize in exciting colourful rugs woven from mostly new rags, all natural fibers. I dye new and old fabrics in a lot of exciting colours for this purpose. I also make pillows, wall hangings, table runners and placemats in this and other modern techniques, based on Norwegian traditions. I also do some traditional designs. My work has been juried by Norges Husflidslag.

I also make impressionistic and naturalistic quilted wall hangings in the watercolour and colourwash techniques. My latest innovation is a series of abstract "moods"- made in a collage technique. You will see these under the headings "Abstrakte tekstilbilder" and "Små collager". I have entered several competitions with these works and have won a few prizes.

For my own use but also for sale I paint and dye special fabrics with colourful sky and sea designs, and multicoloured batik-type patterns. I also dye threads for hand- and machine quilting in a variety of exciting colour combinations, and also cotton effect-yarns for embellishment. I dye large pieces of cotton backings, the largest is 2.5 X 3 m, big enough for a Queen size quilt.

I sell patterns and descriptions of how to make some of my models, these include handpainted panels to include in your project.
